Radioteleskop Effelsberg
With a diameter of 100 m, the Effelsberg radio telescope is one of the largest fully mobile radio telescopes on earth. Freilichtmuseum Kommern
The LVR open-air museum in Kommern shows how people lived and worked in the countryside more than 100 years ago. Historic breeds of domestic animals are still bred there today, old crops are cultivated and fields are tilled with ploughs and harrows. The open-air museum is one of the largest in Europe.
